Power: owners and staff have begun converting the garages to LED lights. Once completed the estimated savings on our electric bill will be about $1100 per year. In addition LED eliminates the light ballast saving over $40 for each replacement. Owners can also help save by turning off common area lights and not setting thermostats lower.
Phone: our President worked with our phone and internet providers to lower costs. Cost should go down even more next year with expiring contracts.
Copying Machine: the office has a new color copier with a lower monthly lease, lower monthly maintenance cost, lower cost of copies and toner is included.
Copies: a new process of scanning checks and invoices into Quick Books was initiated this year. This has allowed us to conserve paper and reduce copying and storage costs.
BayshoreLines: our newsletter is available on our web site along with just about everything else owners might need. The office is also requesting owners provide email addresses as an alternate way to deliver the newsletter. This will save on paper, copying and mailing costs.
Insurance: by looking outside of our long time insurance agency, our manager found an excellent Property, Wind & Equipment Breakdown policy that has saved us over $26,387 in budgeted dollars this year.
Laundry Costs: a new 2 year lease has been negotiated with Coinmach on our washers and dryers that will keep the cost of using these machines from going up over the next two years.
Landscaping: thanks to the efforts of many owners, our grounds are being improved and beautified at a very low cost.
